    DAY 1: YANGON                                                                                               [-/-/-]

    Upon arrival to YANGON Airport, you will be welcomed by your Asian Trails guide and your journey begins with a tour through Yangon’s city.  Visit first SULE PAGODA dating back to over 2,000 years. Proceed to the magnificent reclining Buddha CHAUK HTAT GYI. After a photo stop at the KARAWEIK HALL on Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake, stroll through the BOGYOKE (SCOTT'S) MARKET (Closed on Mondays and holidays) with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts and gems stores. Complete your first day Yanong impressions with an extended visit to one of the world's spectacular monuments, the SHWEDAGON PAGODA. Overnight in Yangon.

    DAY 2: YANGON-BAGAN                                                                              [B/L/-]

    After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for domestic flight to BAGAN.

    Upon arrival, start your day with visiting the most significant pagodas and temples of Bagan including SHWEZIGON PAGODA built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine, SHWE GU GYI PAGODA and ANANDA TEMPLE with its four magnificent standing Buddha images. In the afternoon, learn about the manufacturing of Myanmar’s most treasured handicrafts and visit a lacquer ware craftsmen’s workshop in nearby MYINKABA village. Later, continue to MANUHA TEMPLE built in Mon style in 1059 and explore NANBAYA TEMPLE, a unique sandstone monument, which according to legends used to be palace site of the King Manuha. Proceed to BUPAYA PAGODA to watch the sunset over the famous Ayeyarwaddy River. Overnight in Yangon.

    DAY 3: BAGAN – MANDALAY                                                                          [B/L/-]

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for domestic flight to HEHO.

    Upon arrival, experience the sights and sounds of Mandalay including one of the SHWE INBIN MONASTERY, the GOLDEN PALACE MONASTERY, a superb example of a traditional wooden building and KUTHODAW PAGODA, the world's largest book made of 729 marble slabs, on which the entire Theravada Buddhist Pali Canon is inscribed. Mandalay is also a major crafts center. Visit a Kalaga tapestries craftmen's shop before going to Mandalay Hill for sunset. Overnight in Mandalay.

    DAY 4: MINGUN - MANDALAY - AMARAPURA                                           [B/L/-]

    After breakfast, go on a excursion by boat on the AYEYARWADDY RIVER to MINGUN about 11 km (1 hour) upriver from Mandalay. Your visit will start with the MINGUN BELL, a magnificent sight of the world's biggest bell still intact, weighing 90 tons, and continue to HSINBYUME PAYA as well as the unfinished MINGUN PAYA build as one of the world's largest stupas by King Bodaw Paya. Return by boat to Mandalay and proceed by car or bus to Amapura, 15 km from Mandalay. Visit BAGAYA MONASTERY with an interesting collection of Buddha statues. Afterwards, observe a beautiful sunset at the 200-year-old U BEIN teak bridge build in 1782 when Amarapura was the Royal Capital. Later, return to Mandalay. Overnight stay in Mandalay.

    DAY 5: MANDALAY - HEHO - PINDAYA - INLE LAKE                                 [B/L/-]

    After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to HEHO. Upon arrival, proceed by road to PINDAYA (59 km - 2 hours) and visit PINDAYA CAVES, a unique site housing thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over the centuries. Then drive to NYAUNG SHWE (90 km - 2 1/2 hours) and transfer by boat to hotel for check-in. Overnight stay on the lake.

    DAY 6: INLE LAKE                                                                                                 [B/L/-]

    After breakfast, you will enjoy a full day excursion by boat in Inle Lake. The visit will include sights of the famous leg rowers, typical floating gardes, local methods of fishing, village life and magnificent scenery. Visits are made to PHAUNGDAW OO PAGODA, the weaving village of INPAWKHON and to one of the local markets in Inle Lake Region. Overnight stay on the lake.

    DAY 7: INLE LAKE - HEHO - YANGON                                                             [B/L/-]

    After breakfast, boat and guide will be at disposal until transfer to HEHO Airport (32km - 1 hour) for your domestic flight to YANGON. Upon arrival in Yangon, transfer to your hotel only. Rest of the day is free at own leisure. Overnight in Yangon.

    DAY 8: YANGON                                                                                                      [B/-/-]

    After breakfast, the day will be at leisure until transfer to the airport for your international departure flight.
