Travel Period : Valid until December 23, 2015

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly named Saigon, is the largest and most populated city in Vietnam. A delightful mix of the old and the new, Saigon's skyline is dotted with high rise buildings mixed with Oriental style pagodas. The city also boasts of charming French colonial architecture and wide boulevards lined with stately trees, earning them the moniker "Paris of Asia." The best way to see Saigon is on foot. Major tourist venues are in District 1, which is fairly compact and easy to maneuver. Saunter through ageless alleys to incense fused temples before catching up with the present in designer malls beneath polished skyscrapers. Go to the frenzied Ben Thanh Market, the largest old-style market in the central district, with several hundred small stalls stuffed with goods on almost impassably narrow aisles. Don't miss the War Remnants Museum, which shows the Vietnam War through Vietnamese eyes.  Bring a friend along and treat yourselves to a 3D/2N Saigon Package Tour, give yourselves a pat on the back for all the hard work. You know you deserve it.

Things we love

    • Be awed by the spectacular Jade Emperor Pagoda, built in the 1900s in honor of the supreme Taoist god.
    • Vietnamese coffee is excellent and is known worldwide! Make sure to try a cup of deep roasted Trung Nguyen, the most popular local brand.
    • Walk along the pretty patterned tile floor and admire the decorative ceilings of Saigon Central Post Office. Still an operating post office, the edifice was designed by Gustave Eiffel two years after he finished the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris.
    • Spend some time in quiet prayer and reflection at the elegant Saigon Notre Dame Basilica. Built between 1877 to 1883, the church is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture in the city.
    • Marvel at dozens of elegant temples and pagodas at Cholon, the city's Chinatown.

Note:Pre and post-accommodation maybe necessary before and after the tour

Things to do

    • EXPLORE.  Explore Dong Khoi, a lively stretch of shops and bars which spans from Notre Dame Cathedral to the Saigon River.
    • FEAST. Vietnam is well known to have one of the world's tastiest street food. Enjoy a hearty meal of meat, rice and vegetables for incredibly low prices.
    • DRESS UP. Rub elbows with the city's affluent residents in the Lam Son Square area where you can spend a night of culture at the Municipal Theater or sip cocktails on the terrace of the Hotel Continental, a favored spot of the French high society.
